David Buckingham
David Buckingham (b 1958) is a sculptor of found sheet metal, sourced from discards he scavenges from all around Southern California. Retaining the unaltered color and condition in the metal he finds, it is cut and shaped into text, images, and abstract patterns which reference cultural touchstones and political moments. A former advertising executive with a sharp wit and a critical eye, Buckingham presents strong ideas which elicit profound responses.
Solo presentation featured in the BGFA booth #100 at the LA Art Show - February 19-23 at the Los Angeles Convention Center
